The anticipation surrounding the combined version of ‘Baahubali,’ titled ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ and set to release on October 31, 2025, is high, with a runtime of 5 hours and 27 minutes. However, a Telugu film from 1977 surpasses it in length.

The film is ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna,’ directed by and starring N.T. Rama Rao. He played the triple roles of Karna, Duryodhana, and Krishna, in addition to writing and directing. The film’s runtime is a remarkable 9 hours and 53 minutes, making it significantly longer than the upcoming ‘Baahubali: The Epic.’

The film, made on a budget of 10 lakh rupees, was re-released in 1994, with its rights fetching 60 lakh rupees. The initial run in 1977 earned 1.5 crore rupees, while the re-release in 1994 generated 1 crore rupees. The total box office collection of the film was 2.5 crore rupees. This places ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’ among the longest films ever made in India.
