A Medicity will be developed on 200 acres; land earmarked in Sector 37.

Raipur, December 24, 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is committed to the development of health facilities in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai’s endeavor is to provide excellent healthcare facilities to the people of the state in one place in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar. Continuous efforts are being made to give Naya Raipur Atal Nagar international recognition in the field of healthcare. One such project is the establishment of an international-level Medicity in Naya Raipur. For this, under the guidance of Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary, the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has started its efforts. This state-of-the-art Medicity will be developed on approximately 200 acres. For this, the Authority has earmarked land in Sector 37 of Naya Raipur. This project proposes to develop health facilities with a capacity of approximately 5,000 beds with the help of private investment. The state government plans to link this envisioned Medicity project with the Pradhan Mantri Medicity Yojana in the future. Recently, the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority held a preliminary coordination meeting with the central government undertaking, Infrateck Services Limited, for the establishment of the Medicity. Important issues regarding the realization of the Medicity project were discussed in the meeting. This fully-equipped Medicity will provide healthcare facilities not only to Chhattisgarh but also to citizens of neighboring states. The proposed Medicity includes the integrated development of several leading multispecialty hospitals, a medical college, hostels, diagnostic centers, rest houses, hotels, and commercial areas. The state government is also making efforts to operate international flights from Swami Vivekananda Airport. The development of this Medicity near the airport in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar will give Chhattisgarh a new identity in the field of international medical tourism.
