Launch of Attractive Tour Packages for Tourists with 75 Percent Subsidy
Raipur, December 5, 2025 / The Chhattisgarh Tourism Department and IRCTC are soon going to launch special tour packages for tourists in Raipur and Bastar under the Chief Minister Jan Tourism Promotion Scheme. This initiative is an important step towards promoting tourism along with disseminating the cultural, religious, and natural heritage of the state.
Under this scheme, four major tour packages will be operated from Raipur, including Raipur City Tour, Raipur City Religious Tour, Raipur-Jagdalpur Circuit Tour, and Raipur-Sirpur-Barnawapara Circuit Tour. Each package will include facilities such as air-conditioned vehicles, Hindi-English guides, meals, and travel insurance, allowing tourists to enjoy a comfortable and safe journey.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said that this important scheme has been launched to take tourism to the masses. It will not only boost economic development but also further strengthen Chhattisgarh’s identity nationally and internationally.
Tourism Minister Mr. Rajesh Agarwal said that this scheme will promote local tourism and also provide extensive employment opportunities. He said, “We want the natural beauty and cultural richness of Chhattisgarh to reach every tourist.”
Key Tour Packages
Raipur City Tour (Day Trip)
In this tour, tourists can visit prominent places in Raipur—Ram Mandir, Urja Park, Purkhauti Muktangan, Chhattisgarh Tribal Museum, Nandavan Zoo, and Kaushalya Mata Mandir. The package includes an air-conditioned vehicle, Hindi/English guide, meals, and travel insurance. Departure will be from Raipur Railway Station.
Raipur City Religious Tour (Day Trip)
This tour focused on religious sites will offer a journey to Hanuman Mandir, Maa Banjari Mandir, Kaivalya Dham Jain Mandir, ISKCON Mandir, Mahamaya Mandir, Dantewari Mata Mandir, Ram Mandir, and Maa Kaushalya Mata Mandir. The start and end of this tour will also be from Raipur Railway Station.
Raipur-Jagdalpur Circuit Tour (02 Nights / 03 Days)
This package includes a trip to the natural and cultural sites of the Bastar region—Jagdalpur, Chitrakote, Tirathgarh. Tourists can enjoy major attractions like Chitrakote waterfall, Kutumsar cave, Kanger Valley National Park, and Dantewari Mandir. Accommodation will be in double-sharing hotels with daily meal arrangements.
Raipur-Sirpur-Barnawapara Circuit Tour (01 Night / 02 Days)
This tour will cover the historic temples of Sirpur and the Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary. The package includes snacks, meals, hotel accommodation, and air-conditioned vehicles. Tourists will also get the thrilling experience of a jungle safari.
Features of the Tour Package
A group of at least 10 people is required for each package. During the journey, tourists will be provided with drinking water, snacks, lunch, and travel insurance. Children aged 2 to 18 years will receive an 85% subsidy, and adults aged 18 years and above will receive a 75% subsidy.
All packages start and end at Raipur Railway Station.
