The stage is set for a box office clash as Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ and Varun Dhawan’s ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ prepare for release. With advance booking numbers released, the anticipation is high. The advance booking numbers give a hint on which movie will be the winner.

‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is currently trailing behind in advance bookings. The film has made a total of ₹1.01 crore with blocked seats, and ₹26.97 lakh without blocked seats. For the first day, 5,188 tickets have been sold, with 1,597 shows booked. If the current pace of promotion is not good, there is a high possibility of huge losses.

On the other hand, Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, being a pan-India film, is expected to perform well. The advance bookings reflect the same trend, as the film has already earned ₹4.77 crore for the first day, and ₹8.11 crore including blocked seats. A total of 1,31,470 tickets have been sold. The Kannada market is showing a strong support. In Hindi, 10,000 tickets have been sold, generating a business of ₹28 lakh.

‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has a budget of ₹125 crore, marking a significant increase compared to its predecessor. ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is budgeted at ₹80 crore.
