The big question is, where did the boy go? Where was he kept after landing in Delhi? After the interrogation, the Afghan boy was sent back on the same flight, which departed around 12:30 p.m. Security officials from KAM Airlines inspected the landing gear compartment and found a small red speaker, possibly belonging to the boy. They announced that the aircraft was declared safe after the investigation.

Traveling by hiding in an aircraft’s wheel well is referred to as ‘wheel-well stowage,’ where passengers hide inside the wheel bays or undercarriage of the plane. It is not easy to survive in these conditions. At cruising altitude, there is extreme cold and lack of oxygen. Many attempts prove dangerous.

Such instances of traveling in the wheel well of a plane are extremely dangerous. However, many such cases have come to light. In January 2024, the bodies of two people were found in the landing gear of a JetBlue flight from the Dominican Republic to Florida. In 2021, a Guatemalan resident survived after hiding in the wheel well of a Miami flight for several hours.
