Raipur, October 7, 2025 / The Department of Food and Civil Supplies has made registration on the Agristack portal mandatory for farmers for paddy procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26. For any information or assistance related to the Agristack portal, one can contact the toll-free number 1800-233-1030.

Food Secretary Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale informed that the Agristack portal is a unified agriculture database developed by the Government of India, which facilitates land and Aadhaar-linked registration of farmers. After registration, farmers receive a Unique Farmer ID. This Aadhaar-linked database will play a crucial role in ensuring that the benefits of various government schemes reach only the actual eligible farmers.

In Chhattisgarh, farmers are paid directly for paddy procurement at MSP. Therefore, the government intends for all eligible farmers to receive the actual benefits of this scheme with good governance and transparency. The Aadhaar-based registration and e-KYC system in Agristack will ensure greater transparency, accuracy, and accountability in the entire process.

Last year, 25.49 lakh farmers sold paddy in the state. This year, 21.47 lakh farmers have registered on the Agristack portal so far. The remaining farmers can get themselves registered by visiting their nearest cooperative society or designated center by October 31, 2025. Necessary instructions have already been issued to all societies and District Collectors in this regard.

The state government has clarified that the Agristack portal will prove to be a milestone in the direction of digital revolution, making the paddy procurement system in Chhattisgarh transparent, accurate, and farmer-centric.

It is noteworthy that this year, digital crop surveys have been conducted in 13,879 villages out of the state’s 20,000 villages. Reports of this digital crop survey and manual crop inspection are being read out in Gram Sabhas from October 2 to October 14, 2025. For this, announcements have been made in every panchayat, and the survey lists have also been displayed (pasted) in the panchayat buildings.

Continuous monitoring of this activity is being done by District Collectors, Food Officers, and senior administrative officers. This initiative is a strong and farsighted step by the state towards “Digital Agriculture and Good Governance”.
