Air India has disclosed its schedule for the resumption of all international flights. The aim is to have all routes back in service by October. This announcement comes after an incident in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on June 12th, which prompted extensive reviews and the temporary grounding of several flights.

Air India’s CEO, Campbell Wilson, stated that the restoration process began on August 1st with some international flights. The airline is working towards having all suspended flights operational by October 1st. The cancellations followed the incident in Ahmedabad.

The DGCA’s audits uncovered over 100 discrepancies across various Air India flights. The regulatory body mandated the prompt correction of these deficiencies.

According to CEO Campbell Wilson, the flights that were previously canceled are expected to resume operations by October 1st. A phased restoration of services commenced on August 1st.

In the wake of the Ahmedabad incident, multiple Air India flights faced issues, including emergency landings and technical failures. More than 80 flights were canceled within a week. Concurrently, the DGCA conducted detailed inspections of all Air India aircraft, which have now largely been completed.

On June 12th, Air India flight AI171, departing from Ahmedabad for London, crashed shortly after takeoff, causing the death of 297 individuals. Of the 242 people on board, 241 tragically lost their lives.
