Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has filed a petition with the Delhi High Court to seek protection against the unauthorized use of her name, photos, and AI-generated content. The court was informed by her legal representative, Sandeep Sethi, about the misuse of her images, including the use of AI to create fake content. The Delhi High Court has responded by indicating it will issue an order to protect the actress’s personality and publicity rights. This will restrict others from using her identity for commercial gain or promotion without her permission. Justice Tejas Karia confirmed that the court will instruct platforms to remove any web links violating her rights. Advocates Praveen Anand and Dhruv Anand have alleged that multiple entities are taking unlawful advantage of her identity. The suit highlights the circulation of altered images in pornographic forms, causing reputational damage. Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi argued that her name and image are being used for inappropriate purposes. The court has previously protected other celebrities’ rights in similar cases.
