All India Bar Examination 20: Registration Opens for Future Lawyers

Aspiring lawyers in India are required to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), an exam administered by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The AIBE’s official website clarifies eligibility: “Any candidate, whether currently a student or a graduate, studying or passed out from a university or college which is not recognized/approved by the Bar Council of India, shall not be eligible for AIBE. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that their educational institution is duly recognized by the BCI.” Application fees are set at Rs 3,560 for general and OBC candidates, and Rs 2,560 for SC and ST applicants.
