In response to ongoing questions about Jagdeep Dhankhar’s resignation, Home Minister Amit Shah provided a statement. He emphasized that Dhankhar, in his capacity as Vice President, conducted himself in accordance with constitutional norms. Shah stated that Dhankhar’s resignation was due to his personal health issues. The statement was given during an interview with news agency ANI. The upcoming Vice Presidential election is scheduled for September 9th. The NDA’s candidate is Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, and the opposition has nominated former Supreme Court Justice B. Sudarshan Reddy. The former Vice President resigned last month, citing health concerns, which has been the subject of public discussion since.
