Amit Shah Greets Nation on Jagannath Rath Yatra, Praises Faith and Devotion

Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion of the Jagannath Rath Yatra, calling it a ‘unique confluence of faith and devotion.’ He emphasized the significance of the Rath Yatra on X, highlighting its message of moving forward while cherishing devotion, culture, and heritage. Shah offered prayers for the welfare and progress of all, invoking Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Veer Balabhadra, and Mata Subhadra. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also welcomed devotees, encouraging them to participate in the Rath Yatra with faith. The annual festival, commencing today in Puri, involves pulling the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra to the Gundicha Temple, an event that draws massive crowds each year.
