Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with officers in Delhi who were involved in the recent successful anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh. He congratulated them on their historic achievement. Shah stated that the Modi government is dedicated to removing Naxalism from India. Security forces, guided by the Union Home Minister, carried out operations in Chhattisgarh. One significant operation took place in the Abujhmad area from May 18-21. On May 21, an encounter resulted in the elimination of 27 Naxals, including CPI (Maoist) General Secretary Basavaraju alias Gaganna. The meeting honored several key officers, and was attended by prominent officials, including the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
