Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah addressed soldiers in Nava Raipur, acknowledging their role in successfully combating Naxalites. He praised the bravery, valor, and dedication of the Central security forces, COBRA teams, Chhattisgarh Police, and DRG. Shah expressed confidence that Naxalism will be eradicated from India by March 31, 2026, based on the performance of the security forces.

Shah emphasized that Naxalism has significantly impacted impoverished tribal regions, leading to approximately 40,000 deaths and disabilities over the last 35 years. He highlighted how Naxal violence has deprived tribal communities of fundamental needs such as food, electricity, education, and sanitation, while also hampering industrial development. He emphasized that the government is working to bring development to these areas by providing essential services.

Shah added that the end of Naxalism will be a momentous occasion, considered one of the most crucial moments since India’s independence. He also launched a book in Nava Raipur that details the atrocities committed by Naxalites against tribal communities and the efforts to preserve Bastar. The book intends to assist readers in comprehending the suffering endured by those affected by Naxal violence and to reveal those who support Naxalites under the pretext of human rights.
