Google will launch the final version of Android 16 today, June 10, as confirmed by the Android Developers account on X. This release follows beta testing and previews.
Pixel smartphones, including various models from Pixel 6 to Pixel 9 and Fold devices, will be the first to receive the update. The update is part of the June 2025 Feature Drop. Pixel Watch devices will also receive updates.
The Android 16 update introduces Live Updates, a Quick Settings refresh, and an Advanced Protection mode. The Material 3 Expressive design will be part of a later QPR1 update.
