The Delhi Premier League (DPL) witnessed an explosive innings by Ankit Kumar, who smashed 5 sixes and 2 fours in just 16 balls, leaving the cricket fans in awe. The West Delhi Lions batsman showcased a display of power hitting, contributing significantly to the team’s score. However, the team fell short by a mere 2 runs despite Kumar’s remarkable effort. Kumar is also in line to replace Shubman Gill as captain. He was the highest run-scorer for Haryana in the previous Ranji Trophy season, with an average of 59 across 14 innings. His outstanding performance earned him a place in the North Zone team for the new domestic season, and he has been appointed as the vice-captain, with Shubman Gill as the captain.
