    Another Student Death at BITS Pilani in Goa: A Look at the Recent Fatalities

    A 20-year-old student, Rishi Nair, was found dead in his hostel room at the BITS Pilani campus in Goa on Thursday morning. This marks the fifth student death at the institution since December 2024. The police were alerted after the student did not answer his phone and gained access to the room. The cause of death is currently under investigation. The university administration has not yet released a statement regarding the event. In response to the series of tragic events, Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has ordered the formation of a committee under the collector to investigate. The previous students who died were Om Priyan Singh, Krishna Kasera, Kushagra Jain, and Atharv Desai.
