Anti-Corruption Raid in Bihar: DSP Sanjeev Kumar Under Scrutiny

As part of an ongoing anti-corruption effort in Bihar, DSP Sanjeev Kumar, stationed in Jehanabad, is under investigation. The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) has raided his properties following allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his income. Kumar is accused of accumulating over 1.52 crore rupees in assets beyond his legal earnings. Raids were conducted in Patna, Khagaria, and Jehanabad, led by DSP-level officers. The team recovered documents related to a luxurious building, ten trucks, and multiple bank accounts during the raid in Khagaria. The valuation of the seized assets is underway. The SVU has also sought documentation from the owner of a private hospital operated from Kumar’s residence. Sanjeev Kumar previously served as a police officer in various districts, including Khagaria. The SVU’s operation aims to curb corruption within the police force and has created a significant impact within the department.
