A successful joint operation in West Singhbhum district resulted in the disruption of a Naxalite plot and the destruction of key infrastructure. Security forces, comprising the police, Cobra 209 Battalion, CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar, conducted the operation in the Chota Nagpur area, targeting Naxalite hideouts and explosive devices. Two IEDs and five bunkers were successfully dealt with during the operation.

The IEDs were defused by the bomb disposal squad. Intelligence reports indicated that top Maoist leaders were planning attacks in the Saranda and Kolhan regions, prompting the launch of the operation on July 8th. The search efforts led to the discovery of the IEDs and bunkers on July 11th. The police confirmed that the Naxalites had hidden the IEDs with the intention of harming security forces.

The operation aims to completely eradicate Naxalite activity from the Saranda and Kolhan regions, and security measures have been increased. Authorities are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the local population, and further anti-Naxal operations are planned to maintain peace in the area. Joint forces have emphasized that the safety of the villagers is their top priority.
