With the Asia Cup 2025 approaching, attention has turned to Hardik Pandya’s watch. The watch has become a talking point primarily due to its price. The cost of the watch is so substantial that it exceeds the combined annual salaries of the 17 Pakistani players selected to participate in the Asia Cup. The expensive timepiece initially drew attention when Pandya wore it during a practice session in Dubai.

The question now is, what is the price of Hardik Pandya’s watch? And even more interestingly, how much do the Pakistani players selected for the Asia Cup earn annually, to the point where they collectively cannot afford the watch? Let’s start by examining the salaries of the Pakistani players.

Seven Pakistani players are in Grade B, including Abrar Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Sam Ayub, Salman Agha, and Shaheen Afridi. Each player in this group earns an annual salary of 16.92 million Indian rupees. So, the annual salaries of these seven players total 118.31 million Indian rupees.

Five Pakistani players are in Grade C, including Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, and Sahibzada Farhan. They each have an annual salary of 9.39 million Indian rupees, which amounts to a total of 46.95 million Indian rupees for these five players.

Lastly, the remaining five Pakistani players are in Grade D, with an annual salary of 5.63 million Indian rupees each. These five players have a combined annual salary of 28.17 million Indian rupees.

If the annual salaries of all 17 Pakistani players selected for the Asia Cup are added together, the sum comes to 193.4 million Indian rupees. However, this is less than the reported market price of Hardik Pandya’s watch, which is estimated to be worth 200 million Indian rupees. During practice in Dubai, Hardik Pandya was seen wearing a Richard Mille RM 27-04 watch.
