In the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four stage, Pakistan rebounded from a loss against India by defeating Sri Lanka, which moved them to second place in the points table. Their progress in the tournament is still uncertain, as they are the only team to have played two matches, whereas other teams still have one match remaining. Pakistan’s bowlers performed well, restricting Sri Lanka to a score of 133/8, with Shaheen Shah Afridi taking three wickets. Kamindu Mendis scored a half-century for Sri Lanka. India remains unbeaten, having won both of its matches against Pakistan, and is at the top of the points table. India will play Bangladesh on Wednesday and Sri Lanka on Friday, both matches scheduled in Dubai.
