India A confirmed their advancement to the Rising Stars Asia Cup semifinals with a commanding six-wicket victory over Oman A in Doha. The performance was a testament to the team’s depth and their ability to execute under pressure, particularly after a previous loss.

Oman A struggled to post a competitive total, finishing at 135 for seven in their 20 overs. India A’s bowling unit operated with precision, with Suyash Sharma being the standout performer with figures of 2 wickets for 12 runs. Gurjapneet Singh also contributed with two wickets. Wasim Ali’s unbeaten 54 was the primary source of runs for Oman.

Chasing a moderate target, India A experienced early disruptions. However, Naman Dhir provided a crucial quickfire 30 from just 19 balls, shifting the momentum in their favor. The chase was then anchored by Harsh Dubey, who was promoted to bat at number four. Dubey delivered a career-defining performance, remaining not out on 53 from 44 deliveries, his maiden T20 half-century. He found valuable support from Nehal Wadhera, who chipped in with 23, as India A chased down the target in 17.5 overs.

With this victory, India A secured the second position in their group and is now slated to play the Group A leader in the first semifinal on Friday. The other semifinal will feature Pakistan A, who have also qualified, raising the possibility of an exciting final encounter on November 23 if both teams win their upcoming matches.
