Samastipur district authorities in Bihar are investigating an online application for a residency certificate filed under the name of Donald Trump. The application, which included a photo of the former U.S. President, was submitted on July 29, 2025, with application number BRCCCO/2025/17989735. The address given was Village Hasanpur, Ward No. 13, Post Bakarpur, Police Station Mohiuddin Nagar, Block Mohiuddin Nagar, District Samastipur. The news of the application led to an immediate response from the administrative department, who initiated an investigation. A press release was issued jointly by BDO Dr. Navkanj Kumar and Brijesh Kumar Dwivedi. The investigation showed that the photo, Aadhaar number, and barcode had been tampered with. The application was rejected by the revenue officer on August 4. The authorities plan to file a First Information Report (FIR) at the Samastipur cyber crime police station to further probe the matter. The investigation aims to identify the source of the application, including the IP address and the system that was used. This incident adds to the growing list of similar cases involving unusual residency certificate applications in various districts within the state.
