Ather Energy is expected to announce the addition of cruise control to its 450 series electric scooters, with the announcement possibly occurring on August 30, 2025, during its Community Day event. In addition to this new feature, the company may also launch a new entry-level model. Current model updates are expected to be discussed as well. The addition of cruise control is anticipated for the 450X and 450 Apex models. The software update will be delivered to customers who have the Atherstack Pro software. The Ather 450s, 450X, and 450 Apex models constitute the current 450 series. Ola Electric already offers this function on its S1 series.
The Ather 450s comes in two battery configurations. The base model with a 2.9 kWh battery is priced at ₹1.23 lakh ex-showroom, while the 3.7 kWh model costs ₹1.43 lakh ex-showroom. The 2.9 kWh battery offers a range of 122 kilometers, and the 3.7 kWh battery provides a range of 161 kilometers. The 450s has a top speed of 90 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.9 seconds. The Atherstack Pro software, with features such as turn-by-turn navigation, can be purchased for an additional ₹15,000.
The Ather 450X is priced at ₹1.50 lakh (2.9 kWh) and ₹1.60 lakh (3.7 kWh). The smaller battery pack provides a range of 126 km, and the larger pack has a range of 161 km. The top speed is 90 kmph, and it accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. Atherstack Pro is available for ₹17,000 (2.9 kWh) and ₹20,000 (3.7 kWh). The 2.9 kWh variant includes location sharing and a 5-year/50,000 km battery warranty, while the 3.7 kWh variant features a 7-inch touchscreen, magic twist, theft alert, and other amenities.
The Ather 450 Apex is a limited-edition model that was released to commemorate the company’s 10th anniversary. It is available only with a 3.7 kWh battery, which provides a range of 157 km and costs ₹1.84 lakh ex-showroom. The top speed is 100 kmph, and it accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.9 seconds. Atherstack Pro is included.
