Audi India has announced price reductions across its model range following adjustments to the Goods and Services Tax (GST). This initiative aligns with similar moves by other major automotive manufacturers in the Indian market. The price adjustments directly reflect the changes in the tax structure for passenger vehicles.
These price cuts range from ₹2.60 lakh to ₹7.80 lakh, offering a significant cost benefit to prospective Audi buyers. Audi India anticipates a surge in sales, particularly during the upcoming festive season, due to these more attractive price points. The price revisions are a result of the updated GST rates.
The earlier GST framework levied a 28% tax plus a compensation cess of 15% to 22% on vehicles exceeding 4 meters. The revised system increases the GST to 40% while removing the compensation cess, which ultimately lowers the total tax burden.
The reduced starting prices include the Q3 SUV at ₹43.07 lakh (down from ₹46.14 lakh), the A4 at ₹46.2 lakh (previously ₹48.89 lakh), the Q7 at ₹86.14 lakh (compared to ₹92.29 lakh), the Q5 at ₹63.75 lakh (reduced from ₹68.30 lakh), the A6 at ₹63.74 lakh (down from ₹67.38 lakh), and the Q8 at ₹1.10 crore (previously ₹1.18 crore).
Customers can obtain precise pricing for their preferred Audi models and variants by visiting an Audi India dealership or accessing the official Audi India website.
