Skoda, a company hailing from the Czech Republic, has launched a special edition of its Kyak SUV in India to celebrate its 25th anniversary in the country. The special edition was launched on Monday, along with special variants of the Kushaq and Slavia models. The special Kyak edition is available in Signature+ and Prestige 2 trims. It features cosmetic enhancements for a unique appearance. The availability is limited, with only 500 units of each special variant being offered.
The standard Kyak model is available in 11 variants, with prices ranging from ₹8.25 lakh to ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition is priced at ₹11.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Signature+ and ₹12.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Prestige variant. This new special edition introduces design and feature improvements compared to the standard model. The limited edition comes with a complimentary accessories kit that includes a 360-degree camera, puddle lamps, and 25th-anniversary badging on the B-pillar. Customers can choose from seven exterior color options.
Key features include a 10-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic AC, power-folding wing mirrors, unique dash inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome accents, front USB Type-C ports, a rear center armrest, in-car connectivity features, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, keyless entry and start, an auto-dimming IRVM, a sunroof, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, and a wireless phone charger.
The special edition uses the same 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating 115 bhp, as the regular model. It is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The manual version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, while the automatic variant takes 11.69 seconds. The claimed fuel efficiency is 19.68 km/liter for the manual and 19.05 km/liter for the automatic.
