Renault India is preparing to bring back the Duster, signifying a major move in the company’s strategy to consolidate its presence in India. The brand has recently updated its existing vehicles such as the Triber and the Kiger. Although the official launch details are not yet available, the expected launch of the Duster is anticipated to be in early 2026. The third-generation Duster has already been introduced in South Africa, with a price of about ₹23.36 lakh. This will be a significant addition to Renault’s lineup consisting of the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber. The return of the Duster to the highly competitive compact and mid-size SUV market means it will compete against vehicles such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Citroën C3 Aircross. The new Duster will be constructed on the CMF-B modular platform. The powertrain options will include a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine, a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG dual-fuel engine.
