Details have surfaced about Royal Enfield’s upcoming 750cc Himalayan motorcycle, part of a broader strategy that includes new models such as the Flying Flea and the E-Himalayan. The new adventure bike will use a modified 650cc parallel-twin engine, already found in other models, with an increased displacement for enhanced performance. The Himalayan 750 will sit alongside the existing 450cc model. Design features will include a 19-inch front wheel and a beefier dual front disc brake setup. Steve Everitt, Lead Designer at Royal Enfield, confirmed that the 750cc Himalayan will be available in Europe, featuring an engine that delivers more power than other parallel-twin models. The engine is tuned specifically for its job, with a larger bore and stroke. The development process involves creating a clay model and a fully adjustable development mule to test and refine suspension, settings, engine feel, and ride dynamics. The company’s focus on the Himalayan highlights its importance in Royal Enfield’s product lineup.
