The Indian automotive market saw a marginal increase in sales during July 2025, with a total of 3,46,669 units sold compared to 3,43,026 units in July 2024. Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra were the leading companies, while Hyundai and Tata Motors experienced sales decreases. The Hyundai Creta emerged as the top-selling SUV for the month. The Creta sold 16,898 units. Although there was a slight decrease compared to the 17,350 units sold in the same period last year, it outperformed the Maruti Brezza and Mahindra Scorpio. Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza recorded sales of 14,065 units, with a minor 4% decline. Mahindra’s Scorpio showed a notable increase of 12%, with 13,747 units sold. Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx was fourth with 12,872 units sold, an 18% increase over the previous year. The Tata Nexon and Punch also made it to the top 10 SUV list. The Mahindra Thar demonstrated significant growth with a 125% increase in sales, totaling 9,845 units. Completing the list were the Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet, each with their own sales figures. The Hyryder saw a 19% rise, while the Venue and Sonet had sales declines.
