The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, inaugurated the localized production of hybrid battery electrodes at the Suzuki Motor Plant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and also initiated the export of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, the company’s debut global battery electric vehicle, destined for over 100 countries. Beyond the e-Vitara, models like the Suzuki Fronx and Jimny have also achieved success in international markets. The e-Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric. The e-Vitara will offer a rear-wheel-drive module in specific trims, a feature absent in the Hyundai Creta. According to previously released information, the e-Vitara will be equipped with a 75 kWh battery pack, with all-wheel drive available in the Empowered trim, in addition to a 12.3-inch screen and ADAS Level 2 safety features.
