Tata is planning to release a revamped version of the Sierra SUV in India, a model that was popular in the 1990s. The car was initially presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo this year. Test drives have provided insights into its refined interior. Though an official launch date has not been confirmed, the Tata Sierra is anticipated to launch around Diwali 2025.
Tata Sierra Engine Specifications
The Tata Sierra is anticipated to feature a 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine, potentially using the 2.0-liter Multijet engine also used in the Tata Nexon and Harrier. There will be various battery options for the electric versions. The new Harrier EV has integrated the ‘Quad Wheel Drive’ feature, and it could also be available in the higher-end trims of the Tata Sierra.
Tata Sierra Interior and Features
According to reports, the vehicle’s interior might be quite impressive, featuring a digital driver’s display and a large central touchscreen for infotainment. The three screens are all approximately 12.3 inches with a floating design, which is similar to the design displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The vehicle is expected to have a floating center console, panoramic sunroof, a four-spoke steering wheel, and touch-based AC controls.
Tata Sierra Exterior Design
In addition to the screens, the dashboard will have a dual-tone finish, soft-touch materials, and ambient lighting. The steering wheel has been redesigned with a four-spoke layout and an illuminated brand logo in the center. The exterior of the Tata Sierra sports a fresh and boxy appearance. The test images also suggest that it will have a full-width LED strip, sequential LED turn indicators, and a strong bumper design.
