Tesla is accelerating its expansion in India’s electric vehicle market, preparing to launch its second retail centre. The new Tesla Experience Centre is scheduled to open on August 11 in Delhi’s Aerocity, located within the premium WorldMark 3 campus. This strategic location is intended to serve customers in the National Capital Region, a crucial area driving India’s EV adoption. This announcement comes shortly after the opening of the first showroom in Mumbai on July 15th, which was attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He expressed enthusiasm for Tesla’s presence in the state and extended an invitation for the establishment of R&D and manufacturing units. The Aerocity centre is nearing completion of construction, with an estimated monthly rent of approximately Rs 25 lakh. Images of the outlet have emerged on social media, reflecting the brand’s premium image. Currently, Tesla offers a single model, the Model Y, in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
