VinFast has made its entry into the Indian automotive market with the introduction of the VF6 and VF7 electric vehicles. The VF6 is priced from Rs 16.49 lakh, and the VF7 from Rs 20.89 lakh. VinFast will compete with leading automakers, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and other Asian competitors. The company’s strategy includes expanding distribution beyond India. Bookings were launched in July with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. A network of dealerships is planned with 13 dealer groups and 32 dealerships in 27 cities. The plan is to extend the dealership network to 35 locations by the end of 2025. Detailed pricing and specifications are provided for each model. The VF6 Earth priced at 16,49,000, and the VF6 Wind and VF6 Wind Infinity variants are also available. The VF7 is available in the Earth, Wind, Sky, and Sky Infinity trims, with prices starting at 20,89,000. The VF6 models are equipped with a 59.6 KWH battery. The VF7 models are available with a 59.6 KWH or 70.8 kWH battery. The comparison table highlights the performance differences of the VinFast models with other EVs. The VF6 range is 468 km and the VF7 range is 450km. Both cars have an acceleration time of nine seconds and the same charging time of 8 hours. The VF6 is considered competitive with the Hyundai Creta EV and MG Windsor models in terms of features.
