Patna Pirates delivered a stunning performance to defeat the league-leading Puneri Paltan 38-27 in a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 match. The Pirates, inspired by an exceptional 17-point haul from Ayan Lohchab, overturned a halftime deficit to secure a memorable victory at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. Lohchab’s raiding brilliance, coupled with a resolute defense, proved to be the difference against the top-ranked team.

The opening ten minutes were characterized by strategic play and tight defense from both sides. Patna’s raiders, Ayan Lohchab and Ankit Kumar, along with defenders Deepak and Navdeep, demonstrated effective teamwork, allowing the Pirates to hold a slim 8-5 lead.

Ayan Lohchab was the standout performer in the first half, executing decisive raids that kept the Pirates in contention. Navdeep provided strong support from the defense. Puneri Paltan, however, showcased their defensive strength with Super Tackles, and timely raids from Abhishek Gunge and Mohammad Nabibakhsh helped them gain momentum. This allowed Puneri to snatch a 15-13 lead by halftime, capitalizing on a few lapses from Patna.

In the second half, Ayan Lohchab ignited the Pirates’ comeback with his prolific scoring. Milan Dahiya also made a significant impact, including a crucial ALL OUT that shifted the momentum firmly in Patna’s favor. Despite spirited attempts by Abhishek Gunge and Mohammad Nabibakhsh to revive Puneri’s challenge, the Pirates maintained their focus and gradually took control of the game.

The final phase of the match saw Patna Pirates seal their victory. Raiders Ayan Lohchab and Stuwart Singh executed a series of high-impact raids, while the defense, bolstered by crucial tackles from Ankit and Navdeep, effectively shut down Puneri’s scoring opportunities. This balanced dominance in both raiding and defense allowed the Patna Pirates to extend their lead and secure a convincing 38-27 win, marking a significant achievement against the league’s best.
