Authorities in Balod, Chhattisgarh, are investigating a severe case of assault and abuse targeting school students. Three young men have been accused of a brutal attack on three schoolboys, involving stripping, physical violence with a stick, and indecent acts. The incident, which occurred in Bhatgaon village on September 9th, also involved threats of violence against the victims to prevent them from reporting the incident. Following the disclosure of the event by one of the victim’s fathers, the police registered a case on September 12th.
The events unfolded after the accused approached the schoolboys, among them Tikaram Sahu. The group of boys were invited to a secluded area where the assault took place. The perpetrators began by verbally abusing the victims and ordering them to remove their clothes. Physical violence followed, with the accused using a stick to inflict injuries. Attempts to escape were met with force, as the victims were restrained and threatened with a knife. The accused warned them against revealing the details of the assault, accompanied by death threats. The terrified victims subsequently returned home, remaining silent due to fear.
The investigation commenced after a parent questioned his son about the incident after hearing rumors in the community. The boys then disclosed the harrowing details of the assault to their families and the parents of their friends, leading to the filing of a formal police complaint. The police have begun their investigation.
