Satara’s Jadhav family is in pieces following the fatal Baramati plane crash that killed Vidyip Jadhav, trusted PSO to Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. ‘We can’t express this grief,’ they say, confronting life without the man who was their family’s glue. The biggest hurdle now: holding the family together.
Wednesday’s crash claimed multiple lives, including Ajit Pawar, with Vidyip on board. His body was brought to Phaltan for cremation amid heartfelt condolences from across the state.
Ganesh Jadhav opened up about Vidyip’s illustrious path. Appointed to Ajit Pawar’s detail in 2019, he had previously protected CM Devendra Fadnavis from 2016-2019. ‘There wasn’t a single area in Maharashtra that didn’t know him,’ Ganesh proudly stated.
Family bonds defined Vidyip. ‘He united us all, cared for every relative without distinction,’ Ganesh explained. The funeral crystallized their pain: ‘He was our everything, and now he’s gone forever.’
Echoing the devastation, Ganesh stressed Vidyip’s non-discriminatory love. ‘No one was a stranger to him.’ With him gone, unity is their paramount challenge. ‘Surviving without him seems unbearable,’ he concluded, as the family leans on memories to endure.
