The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, is scheduled to visit Chhattisgarh to participate in the Bastar Dussehra. His participation in the event on October 4th is confirmed, with plans to visit the Muria Darbar. Administrative preparations are in full swing at the Lal Bagh मैदान in Jagdalpur in anticipation of Shah’s arrival. Of particular note, Amit Shah may meet with former Naxalites during his visit, and he may also engage with officials involved in anti-Naxal operations and security forces personnel, indicating that the administration is on high alert for the visit. Shah himself announced his participation on social media. The visit is considered very important in the context of the current situation on the Naxal front. He is expected to meet with the security personnel stationed there, and also speak with surrendered Naxalites to learn about the changes in their lives. In addition, he will meet with the villagers in the interior areas of the Bastar division. Accompanying him will be CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, Arun Sao, along with numerous senior ministers and Members of Parliament during the Bastar Dussehra. The invitation to Amit Shah was presented by Bastar MP and the president of the Dussehra Committee, Mahesh Kashyap, in Delhi. The Home Minister has accepted the invitation. Preparations are underway for his October 4th visit, though specific details about his itinerary are still pending. He shared his enthusiasm on social media for attending the Bastar Dussehra, highlighting the festival’s significance in a Naxal-free and peaceful Bastar.
