The Water Resources Department in Chhattisgarh has approved a ₹41.3258 crore project for farmers in the Bastar region. The project involves renovating the main canal of the Kosarteda Medium Irrigation Project in the Bastar district. This will help restore the canal’s designed irrigation capacity of 11,120 hectares. The goal is to ensure farmers have adequate water for their crops, which will also help increase agricultural production. This project is particularly important for the tribal-dominated areas of Bastar.
