Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai chaired a pivotal high-level meeting today, focusing intensely on the multifaceted development of the Naxal-affected Bastar region. He articulated that the ongoing efforts to dismantle Naxalism have reached a critical juncture, crediting the Prime Minister’s vision, the Union Home Minister’s decisive leadership, and the formidable courage of security forces for this progress. The government’s foremost responsibility, Sai affirmed, is to ensure that the destructive ideology of Naxalism is permanently vanquished.

To achieve this, the strategy involves bolstering public confidence in Bastar through continuous dialogue, accelerated development projects, and the widespread availability of essential services. The Chief Minister emphasized that the ‘double-engine’ government is fully committed to fostering balanced and holistic growth across Bastar, bringing it firmly into the national developmental mainstream. He announced the preparation of a comprehensive three-year action plan for the region, to be executed with utmost urgency.

Sai stressed the importance of inter-departmental synergy and directed senior officials to undertake regular field assessments in Bastar to ensure the effective implementation of development schemes. The focus is on tangible results that directly benefit the local population and rebuild trust in government institutions. The meeting provided a thorough review of the essential infrastructure development, including education, healthcare, employment generation, and road networks.
