The BCCI has announced changes to its employee salary structure, specifically regarding allowances and travel policies. These adjustments were made after a streamlining of the domestic travel policies. Previously, the travel allowance was set at Rs 15,000 per day for short trips (up to four days), and Rs 10,000 per day for longer trips, such as those associated with the IPL, WPL, and ICC programs hosted in India. The single-visit contingency allowance for conveyance was Rs 7,500. Under the new policy, the casual allowance has been removed, and employees are now eligible to receive Rs 10,000 per day while traveling. The ICC tournaments, which can last up to a month, and IPL, which lasts a little over two months. The daily allowance, excluding tax, is approximately Rs 6,500. Those employees traveling the full 70-day IPL season will be entitled to a daily allowance of Rs 10,000, with a maximum claim of Rs 7 lakh. The claim will be adjusted based on the amount of travel time. BCCI employees receive $300 per day when traveling abroad. The President, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and Joint Secretary, in their honorary roles, are entitled to receive a daily allowance of $1000 during their foreign tours. Additionally, they receive Rs 40,000 per day for a one-day meeting within India and Rs 30,000 per day for domestic work trips lasting several days.
