Yuki Bhambri, representing India, and his partner Michael Venus, saw their US Open 2025 campaign come to an end in the semi-finals of the men’s doubles. They were defeated by Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski of Britain in a match that concluded with scores of 7-6 (7-2), 6-7 (5-7), and 4-6. The match took place at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York. The early stages of the match featured intense competition, with both sides displaying strong serves and baseline rallies. Although Bhambri and Venus took an early lead, the British pair fought back to level the score at 5-5. The Indo-Kiwi duo had a near break in the fifth game of the second set but failed to convert. The British team then took the lead in the sixth game, creating pressure for Bhambri and Venus, and ultimately won the tiebreak 7-5. In the final set, Salisbury and Skupski successfully disrupted the momentum of Bhambri and Venus, securing the set with a 6-4 victory, which advanced them to the final.
