According to the police, the victim and the accused are distant relatives and they were in a love affair for two years. The young man had physical relations with the girl several times by promising to marry her, but when it was time to marry her, he refused.
The young man works in a private job in Shahganj and he used to come to Bhopal and have physical relations with the girl. The police have registered a case and are investigating. The accused had also extorted two lakh rupees from the girl.
