In a recent move, the Bihar Education Department has issued strict directives to teachers, instructing them to seek solutions to their problems by engaging with District Magistrates and utilizing an online portal. Dr. Siddharth, the Additional Chief Secretary, communicated these instructions via a letter sent to all District Magistrates.

The letter stated that the visits of teachers to the Education Department headquarters were disrupting departmental work. The instructions explicitly state that teachers should not visit the secretariat for transfer-related issues. The focus will remain on resolving issues at the district level.

Dr. Siddharth emphasized that a substantial number of teachers seeking redressal at the state level would be logistically challenging. The District Establishment Committee, chaired by the District Magistrate, is responsible for addressing establishment-related issues within the districts.

To streamline the process, teachers are urged to register their complaints on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. Nodal officers are actively managing these online submissions. The established website provides a platform for teachers to log in and file their complaints. Complaints are jointly reviewed and resolved by the District Education Officer and other relevant officials, with compliance reports uploaded on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal for review by the Additional Chief Secretary’s Public Grievance Cell.
