The 2025 Bihar election results are signaling a robust performance by the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising JD(U) and BJP, which is maintaining a significant lead as vote counting continues. This election has also seen notable challenges for prominent figures, including Tejashwi Yadav and popular entertainers.

The Digha constituency is closely observing the contest where BJP’s Sanjiv Chaurasia has built a substantial lead over Divya Gautam, a CPI(ML)-L candidate. Chaurasia’s command over the seat appears to be solidifying as counting progresses.

In Chapra, the political aspirations of Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav, contesting on an RJD ticket, are facing a significant hurdle. He is trailing behind BJP’s Chhoti Kumari, whose consistent lead suggests a difficult path for the actor’s political debut.

Tejashwi Yadav’s own electoral standing in Raghopur is a critical indicator for the Mahagathbandhan. While early counts showed him trailing BJP’s Satish Kumar, the RJD and BJP are locked in a close battle, underscoring the seat’s political weight.

A significant development is the strong showing of Osama Shahab, son of the late politician Mohammad Shahabuddin, in Raghunathpur. He has taken a commanding lead over JD(U)’s Vikash Kumar Singh, marking a notable political ascent.

Tej Pratap Yadav is encountering electoral difficulties in Mahua. His party’s performance is falling short of expectations, and he himself is struggling to gain an advantage in his constituency, contrary to his earlier confident predictions.

In contrast, emerging artist and first-time BJP candidate Maithili Thakur is performing well in Alinagar, holding a considerable lead. The AIMIM is also carving out its space, securing leads in Kochadhaman, Amour, and Baisi, signifying pockets of strong regional support.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, is expected to secure victory from Tarapur, maintaining a clear lead. State Congress President Rajesh Kumar is facing an uphill battle in Kutumba. The Mokama seat is proving to be a tense contest, with jailed JD(U) leader Anant Singh in a very narrow lead over RJD’s Veena Devi.
