In a significant development for the Bihar Assembly elections, the BJP Central Election Committee is likely to hold a meeting on Sunday to finalize its list of candidates. This crucial decision-making session is slated to occur at the party’s office in New Delhi, as per insider information.

The move comes in the wake of a crucial meeting held Saturday among senior leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The gathering, hosted by BJP President JP Nadda, was attended by top figures such as Union Home Minister Amit Shah, HAM(S) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, and Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary. Discussions revolved around the strategic seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming polls within the NDA, which includes the BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM(S), and RLM.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) also held a strategy meeting of its senior leaders, including its central parliamentary board, chaired by Chirag Paswan. MP Shambhavi Chaudhary conveyed that Chirag Paswan has been granted the final authority on seat allocation decisions, noting that negotiations are still in progress.

From the JD(U) camp, working president Sanjay Kumar Jha expressed strong optimism about the NDA retaining power, predicting the formation of a government under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on November 14, the day vote counting concludes. Bihar voters will cast their ballots on November 6 and November 11.
