The Election Commission of India has officially announced the election schedule for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Voting will occur in two distinct phases on November 6 and November 11, with the final results to be declared on November 14. This election is shaping up to be a significant contest, with major alliances like the NDA and Mahagathbandhan, alongside Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj, vying for the 243 assembly seats.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has finalized its seat allocation strategy. The JDU and BJP are set to contest 101 seats each, while the LJP-RV will be in the fray for 29 seats, and HAM will compete for 6 seats.

The Mahagathbandhan, a coalition including RJD, Congress, VIP, and various Left parties, is preparing to challenge the incumbent government. Although some seat-sharing adjustments have led to friendly competitions, the alliance’s primary goal is to consolidate opposition votes.

Political strategist Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party has declared its ambitious plan to contest all 243 assembly seats independently, aiming to carve out a significant political space.

Additionally, Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, which has a history of electoral success in Bihar, has announced its intention to field candidates in numerous constituencies, a move that could potentially influence electoral dynamics in Muslim-majority constituencies.

This report provides a detailed breakdown of the candidates and their constituencies for the key players: NDA, Mahagathbandhan, and Jan Suraaj.
