The NDA is finalizing its strategy for seat distribution in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Extensive surveys have been conducted to analyze the caste composition of each constituency, to determine the appropriate candidates. The aim is to ensure that the selection of candidates aligns with the caste demographics of each constituency. It is expected that sitting MLAs will largely retain their seats, although some could face ticket cancellations based on performance evaluations. Decisions on seat allocation will be finalized after further deliberations in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan, the head of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and a Union Minister, has announced that he will contest the Bihar assembly elections, ending speculation about his political future in the state. He intends to contest from a constituency selected by the public. He clarified that his primary objective is to enhance his party’s performance and support the NDA’s overall prospects. Paswan’s announcement is viewed as a strategic move to strengthen his party’s negotiating position during seat-sharing talks with its allies, particularly the BJP and JD(U). His party has reportedly expressed interest in securing 40 seats, based on their successful showing in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
