The political climate in Bihar is intensifying as the state prepares for the upcoming Assembly elections. The NDA coalition is projecting a unified front, with leaders reassuring that the allocation of seats will be decided before the elections. JDU has strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, stating that those who are presenting themselves as the followers of Jananayak Karpoori Thakur will be met with a suitable response from the public in the upcoming elections. Here’s a breakdown of major happenings in Bihar’s political arena.

    1. NDA Alliance: Strong Unity and Seat-Sharing
A joint press conference was held on Tuesday at the BJP state office in Patna, involving the state presidents of the NDA constituent parties. BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha, and LJP Ram Vilas state president Raju Tiwari, among others, were present. They conveyed that there’s no need for worry regarding seat-sharing and that everything would be sorted out before the elections. This highlighted the alliance’s solidarity.

BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal announced that the NDA’s assembly worker conference had begun on August 23. He also noted that the first phase of the worker conference at the assembly level had been quite successful.

    2. India’s Ascent: Dharmendra Pradhan’s Vision
The Youth of Bihar @2047 Student Conclave was held on Tuesday at Gyan Bhawan in Patna. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with BJP state president Dr. Dilip Jaiswal and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, addressed the event. Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his view that India would become the number one nation in the world, with Bihar needing to take the lead in this.

He emphasized that India is not just a ‘dharamshala.’ He questioned the voting rights of Bangladeshis in the country. He also criticized those who had previously engaged in acts like stealing resources and urged them to observe Bihar’s progress. He referred to the Emergency and the Congress party. He also spoke about the alliance between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav and the Telangana CM, who had criticized Bihar.

    3. Setback for Pashupati Paras’s Party
Pashupati Paras’s party encountered a significant setback on Tuesday. A total of 105 workers, including the Vaishali district president, joined the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). LJP (R) state president Raju Tiwari welcomed the new members during a ceremony.

    4. Review of NDA Assembly Worker Conference
A crucial meeting took place on Tuesday at the JDU state office in Patna, with JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha presiding. The meeting was to review the conferences held during the first phase of the NDA Assembly worker conference. District program coordinators, district organization in-charges, and assembly in-charges, among others, participated virtually. The state president congratulated the officials on the success of the first phase and offered guidance for future programs. Furthermore, the voter’s in-depth revision campaign and the assembly-wise campaigns by Mahila JDU and Yuva JDU were reviewed.

    5. Criticism of Self-Proclaimed Leaders
JDU spokespersons Himraj Ram and Parimal Kumar criticized Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav for portraying themselves as Jananayak Karpoori Thakur, stating that they would receive a fitting response from the public in the upcoming elections. They mentioned the alleged disrespect shown to Karpoori Thakur by Lalu Prasad Yadav, recounting an event where Lalu Prasad allegedly refused to help Karpoori Thakur.

    6. Priyanka Gandhi’s Remarks Under Fire
JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha criticized Priyanka Gandhi for what he described as the Congress party’s long-standing disrespectful attitude towards Bihar and its people. He brought up the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections, where Priyanka Gandhi reportedly supported the remarks of then-Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. He questioned her right to campaign in Bihar given the Congress’s actions. He asserted that the people of Bihar would deliver a response to the Congress in the upcoming elections.
