Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while speaking at a public gathering in Khagaria, strongly criticized the previous administration led by Lalu Yadav. He stated that after Lalu Yadav’s time in power, his wife, Rabri Devi, was appointed Chief Minister, and accused the former government of neglecting women and failing to improve Bihar during their 15-year rule. Kumar highlighted the progress made since 2005, emphasizing his government’s commitment to women’s empowerment. He pointed to initiatives like the 50% reservation in Panchayati Raj and the creation of self-help groups (Jeevika) that have provided employment for numerous women. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also spoke, criticizing Congress and Rahul Gandhi and accusing them of hindering the state’s progress. He further added that the current government has successfully curbed migration from Bihar.
