Bihar is gearing up for assembly elections, with political parties intensifying their campaigns. The Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD, is planning a major push, with Tejashwi Yadav announcing an ‘August Revolution’ for the upcoming month.

The INDIA alliance has scheduled public meetings across Bihar, starting in the second week of August, featuring leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. The decision to launch this campaign follows concerns regarding the recent surge in violence and the state’s law and order.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, has stated the focus will be on addressing issues like voter list revisions and the increase in criminal activities. The INDIA alliance will conduct rallies across all nine divisions of the state.

The opposition is strategically using the term ‘August Revolution’ to connect with the public by referencing the crucial 1942 independence movement. They are targeting the Nitish Kumar government by emphasizing issues such as law and order, corruption, and unemployment. The opposition aims to draw parallels with the historical ‘August Revolution’ to attract voters.

Simultaneously, the ruling NDA is actively campaigning and preparing for the elections. Nitish Kumar is making various announcements to counter any anti-incumbency sentiment, including financial aid and infrastructure projects. The upcoming elections will be a crucial test, with both sides aiming to garner voter support.
