Bihar is seeing increased political activity in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections. Political parties are in campaign mode. Upendra Kushwaha, the head of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), has made a recent statement, clearly stating that his party will contest the elections in alliance with the NDA.

Speaking on the topic, Kushwaha affirmed the RLM’s partnership with the NDA. Regarding seat-sharing arrangements, he noted that media coverage could be detrimental to their cause. He emphasized their strategy of setting their own course and keeping it private.

Kushwaha also referred to the JDU as his former political home, showing his concern for the party. He noted that a successor is not determined in a single day. He praised CM Nitish Kumar for his experience and value to Bihar. Regarding the entry of the CM’s son, Nishant, into politics, Kushwaha indicated that this would be Nitish Kumar’s decision.

Commenting on Tejashwi Yadav’s dance, the RLM leader criticized the RJD, calling it a party that is only about nonsense. He agreed that dancing itself isn’t wrong, but the way Yadav danced was inappropriate. He suggested Yadav should be more conscious of his public image. Kushwaha also highlighted the Nitish government’s employment initiatives and urged the opposition to address any perceived governmental shortcomings through action rather than dancing. This followed Tejashwi’s recent dance performance with young people in Patna.

On the topic of the opposition’s claims of vote theft, Kushwaha dismissed this as a moot point, stating that the opposition gained nothing from the issue. He challenged the opposition to produce the alleged targeted individuals if they had evidence to support this claim.

Regarding Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, Kushwaha stated that Prashant Kishor is not a factor in the current political competition, with the main contest being between the NDA and the opposition alliance.
